What do Boys Hate in Lunch Boxes

You need a few lunch boxes ideas for your young boys but have no idea what to do for them? Well, we will tell you what boys generally dislike.

There are a few things that are just not their preference in general, and that is why parents should try avoiding to do these things, or in the best way possible, re-do them in some more quirky way that will be more acceptable for your young boys. One thing we know for sure is that children are not really into strong taste and a lot of spices.

It is better to stick to fresh foods, such as fresh fruit and veggies, or boiled chicken or salmon. It is better if you keep it simple, because overdoing your child’s food might even lead to disturbed stomach, and that is one thing you do not want to cause.

Always opt for the healthiest alternative that is low-calorie and if possible, go for a more veggie balanced meal. Never opt for a meaty meal, because children do not need protein only – they must eat fresh salad and get vitamins in their bodies in order to remain healthy.

The first thing that you should avoid placing in your child’s lunch box is a cold noodle salad. Boys just dislike cold noodles, and plus, they are not very healthy anyway.

Instead of doing this type of salad, go for a fresh steak salad where you will add some chopped steak pieces, clementines, cherry tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil and parmesan. This is healthy and delicious at the same time. Avoid noodles and go for this salad, we promise you will not regret it.

Pita plate and hummus is another dreadful combo that is disliked by many young children. Hummus is very healthy, but it might not be loved by the younger population. Instead of doing pita plate with hummus, do pita plate with Greek yogurt.

Most kids love Greek yogurt, anyway. The hummus is strong and will only make your child unhappy. Add some olives, baby tomatoes and carrots as a side dish with the pita plate. In the end, you should always opt for a healthy yet delicious treat for your kids, right?

Quinoa salad is also disliked by children, mostly because of the plain quinoa. Perhaps you should try doing the same type of salad without the quinoa? Add some more broccoli, mozzarella, pear slices or basil and baby tomatoes and lose the quinoa.

If you want to try and make your children start eating quinoa, you can add just a tiny bit of plain quinoa, but do not tell them that you added some, because that information might make them not touch their salad through the entire day.

Maple syrup pancakes are not everyone’s favorites, as it turns out to be. Instead of adding some maple syrup, opt for some more interesting choice, such as yogurt and sliced strawberries on top. You can even add some whipped cream or tiny sprinkles of dark chocolate. If your kid likes pancakes with fruit, you can make banana pancakes with Nutella or buttermilk pancakes.
